Strut your stuff at Alive After Five's annual Parti Gras. The event is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 11 in Downtown Sanford, and will include an irreverent parade led by the Junkanoo Band and food and beverages from more than 40 vendors. Tickets cost $7.
The 11th Annual Father/Daughter Valentine Dance will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12 at the Winter Springs Civic Center. Come and enjoy a night full of fun, excitement, and dancing complete with refreshments, music provided by a live D.J., prizes, and a complementary photograph taken by a professional photographer. The Planetarium at Seminole State College is presenting a special Valentine's Day show this month. "Heavenly Love" will explore three mythological love stories and how ancient storytellers used them to explain the night sky.
