Eat for a good cause with the Rotary Club of Oviedo and the Oviedo Police and Fire Departments. They are hosting a pancake breakfast for charity from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 7 at the Canterbury Retreat and Conference Center, 1601 Alafaya Trail in Oviedo. Strut your stuff at Alive After Five's annual Parti Gras. The event is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 11 in Downtown Sanford, and will include an irreverent parade led by the Junkanoo Band and food and beverages from more than 40 vendors. Tickets cost $7.
The 11th Annual Father/Daughter Valentine Dance will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12 at the Winter Springs Civic Center. Come and enjoy a night full of fun, excitement, and dancing complete with refreshments, music provided by a live D.J., prizes, and a complementary photograph taken by a professional photographer. The Planetarium at Seminole State College is presenting a special Valentine's Day show this month. The shows will begin at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 12 and Friday, Feb. 26 at the college's Sanford/Lake Mary campus, 100 Weldon Blvd. in Sanford. "Heavenly Love" will explore three mythological love stories and how ancient storytellers used them to explain the night sky.

The Orlando Idol Voice Competition will be held from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 13 at the Trinity Prep School Auditorium in Winter Park. Celebrate jazz music with Seminole High School's second annual Journey Thru Jazz, which will feature musical collaborations between professional jazz musicians and Seminole High School's Jazz Chiefs. -Donna Conley's yoga classes will relieve stress and relax the mind and body. Classes are from 6 p.m. on to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays, and each class costs $15.
-Tango with instructors John Gregory and Cindy Bowen at their Latin dancing class. Beginner classes are held from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, followed by an intermediate class from 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Gregory and Bowen also offer ballroom dancing classes, with a beginner class from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Fridays and an intermediate class from 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Classes cost $65 for a four-week session.
-Instructor Melissa Prabhudial incorporates muscle toning and cardio into her adult belly dancing classes, which are offered from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursdays. Five classes cost $60.

Lake Mary is hosting its monthly Movie in the Park at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 11 at Central Park at Lake Mary City Hall. This month's movie is "Journey to the Center of the Earth."
Target Family Day will be from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Feb. 13, at the Orlando Museum of Art. The free event, sponsored by Target, will give families the chance to celebrate planet Earth with eco-friendly activities that include gallery hunts and art projects. The Twin Cities Children's Mardi Gras Parade will begin at noon on Saturday, Feb. 20 at Oviedo Marketplace. Children are encouraged to dress up in Easter bonnets and Mardi Gras costumes.
